
Dave Lord
Dave Lord is a magician with over 50 years of experience. He studied for an Associate Diploma of Creativity, with a double major in photography and drama. In addition to his magic career, he is a dilettante who also does web design and hosting as a side hustle, as well as a miriad of other creative pursuits.

Janine Lawrent
Janine Lawrent is an artist, photographer, and businesswoman with a B.A. in Humanities (Comparative Literature & Social History). She was the creator and owner of The Three Monkeys Coffee & Teahouse in West End, and has also created other cafe venues including The Jazzy Cat Cafe, The Wild Parrot Coffee & Teahouse, Espresso Room, Beach Barista, and Birdies Espresso.
Janine has had various Artwork exhibits including Circus themed paintings & prints inspired by her partner Gabor’s family involvement in the world of Circus Performance. Lawrent’s artworks are held in collections in Australia and overseas including Hungary, Great Britain & Canada.
As a resident of Cambridge St, West End in the 1980’s and 1990’s, Janine was inspired by the place & its people with its strong sense of community & creativity. The original exhibit of West End photos was in 1984.
She designed artwork for the innovative concept ‘ Writing on the Wall ‘ posters, poetry printed periodically by local writers (Qld State library holds these posters in its archives).
In 1990 she opened The Three Monkeys Coffee & Teahouse at 58 Mollison St which she operated for 5 years until 1995. The Three Monkeys was always a venue frequented by locals, performers, creatives & coffee lovers alike.
Even though she has moved to many other locations within Australia & overseas, Janine has always remained an admirer of the very unique West End.
